Paying more per caller than the calling itself costs?
A Runo alternative for teams that sell on their own SIM. Telodial, the telecalling CRM, is ₹159 per user with everything in one plan.
A SIM-based call management CRM for outbound sales teams, sold per user. Here is how the two compare on the things that decide it, including where Runo is the better buy.

Which Runo alternative works best in India?
Telodial is a Runo alternative built for Indian teams of roughly two to fifty callers. Calls go out through the SIM already in the caller phone rather than over VoIP, so the customer sees an ordinary mobile number and answers it, and a customer who calls back later reaches the same person. The lead record lives in the same app: the after-call sheet opens the moment a call ends and takes the status, a remark and the next follow-up in two taps, so nothing is written up afterwards from memory. WhatsApp is part of the product rather than a separate line on the invoice, covering automatic messages after calls, bulk campaigns and a shared reply inbox. The app itself runs in 40 languages, chosen per caller. Telodial costs ₹159 per user per month on the yearly plan with every feature included. Runo publishes ₹599 per user per month, billed annually.
- Your own SIM and number, so calls get answered
- Two-tap after-call sheet, on the handset
- WhatsApp automation and campaigns in the base price
- ₹159 per user per month on the yearly plan

Where Runo wins
- Call-centre style reporting and manager dashboards that go deeper than most.
- Cloud telephony available alongside SIM calling if you want both routes.
- Long experience with larger outbound teams, which shows in the reporting.
Listed price: ₹599 per user per month, billed annually
Where Telodial wins
- One price, everything in it. ₹159 per user per month on the yearly plan, with the auto dialer, lead CRM, reminders, WhatsApp and team reporting all included rather than split across tiers.
- Your own SIM and number. Calls go out through the phone own SIM, so customers see a normal mobile number and can call it back later and reach the same person.
- Built for the two seconds after a call. The after-call sheet opens by itself and takes status, remark and follow-up in two taps, which is the only moment a busy caller will reliably give you.
- The app in 40 languages. Chosen per caller rather than per company, in day-to-day words, so a new joiner reads their own screen from the first hour.
Listed price: ₹159 per user per month on the yearly plan
Worth asking before you commit
- Priced per user, so cost scales directly with headcount.
- Check whether WhatsApp automation and bulk sending are included at your plan level.
- Check the contract length and what the renewal price is, not just the first-year price.
Five callers on their listed price is about ₹2,995 a month against ₹795 on Telodial. For a team that mainly needs dialing, records and follow-ups rather than contact-centre reporting, most of that difference buys reporting depth you will not open.
When Runo or something else is the better choice
- A contact centre running fifty or more seats on cold outbound lists, where predictive dialing over virtual numbers genuinely produces more conversations per hour than one SIM can.
- A business that needs call recording, which Android restricts for third-party apps and which Telodial therefore does not offer.
- A team whose selling happens mostly by email or in a field CRM rather than on the phone, where a general-purpose CRM will fit better.
From teams who moved
We had a cloud dialer for eight months. Customers stopped picking up because the number looked like a call centre. Back on our own SIM, the pickup rate almost doubled.
Customers call the same number back later and it rings on the caller who spoke to them. With a rented number that never worked properly.
What sold me was seeing yesterday numbers without asking anyone for them. I had been chasing a daily report by message for two years.
Quotes come from customers who agreed to be named this way, shared on WhatsApp or on calls, and trimmed only for length. We publish no star rating or review count, because we will not show a number we cannot show you the source of. Last checked September 2026.
Runo alternative: common questions
Is Telodial cheaper than Runo?
Runo publishes ₹599 per user per month, billed annually. Telodial is ₹159 per user per month on the yearly plan with WhatsApp and the auto dialer included. For a five-person team that is roughly ₹2,995 a month against ₹795. Compare the renewal price rather than the first-year price, and check what each plan includes for your team size. Checked 4 September 2026.
Can I move my data from Runo?
Yes. Export your leads to Excel or CSV, import them into Telodial and map your own columns once. Numbers that already exist are matched and merged rather than added twice, so a customer with history does not become two records.
Does Telodial use my own SIM or VoIP?
Your own SIM. The call goes out from the phone in the caller hand and shows your own number, which is why answer rates in India stay higher than on rented VoIP numbers. There is no per-minute telephony bill, because the calls run on the mobile plan you already pay for.
What does Runo do better?
Call-centre style reporting and manager dashboards that go deeper than most. If that is the deciding factor for your team, they are a reasonable choice, and we would rather say so here than have you find out after paying.
Who should not switch to Telodial?
A contact centre running fifty or more seats on cold outbound lists, where predictive dialing over virtual numbers genuinely produces more conversations per hour than one SIM can. Also any team that needs call recording, which Android restricts for third-party apps and which we therefore do not offer.
Reporting depth, and the size of team that needs it
Updated 10 July 2026
What people want to know before switching
Is Runo good for a small team?
It works, but it is built for a bigger one. The reporting depth that makes Runo worth its price is aimed at a manager watching a floor, with occupancy, comparison views and the kind of dashboard a supervisor lives in. On a team of four, most of that never gets opened, and you are paying 599 rupees a seat for the part you do use. Small teams usually want the outcome recorded and a reminder that rings, which costs less elsewhere.
Does Runo do cloud calling as well as SIM?
Yes, and that is a real advantage if you need both. A team calling Indian mobiles from Indian SIMs, plus a desk that needs virtual numbers for another market, can run one tool instead of two. Telodial does SIM calling only, so if that second route matters to you this is a genuine reason to choose them.
What is the difference between Runo and Telodial?
Runo goes deeper on manager reporting and offers cloud telephony beside SIM calling. Telodial covers the calling day in one plan at 159 rupees per user per month, including WhatsApp automation and campaigns rather than as a tier above. Both dial from your own SIM. The decision is mostly about how big your floor is and how much of your week is spent reading reports.
Is Runo worth 599 rupees per user?
For a team of fifteen or more where somebody manages by numbers daily, quite possibly. The reporting is the product, and shallow reporting on a floor that size costs real money in decisions made late. Below about eight callers the same money usually buys more by going towards a tool that covers the whole day rather than one part of it deeply.
Can I move my call history from Runo?
Leads and contacts export to Excel or CSV and import here cleanly. Call history held inside another vendor product is the harder part, and it is worth exporting anything you need for a record before you close an account. Everything logged after you move stays in your own company account permanently.
The rows that separate them
Both dial from the handset SIM and keep a lead record beside the call, so those rows would tell you nothing.
| Telodial | Runo | |

| Manager reporting | Calls, talk time, outcomes and pending follow-ups | Deeper, closer to a contact-centre dashboard |

Three teams, three answers
Fifteen or more callers and a manager who reads numbers every morning.
Runo deserves the shortlist. At that size reporting stops being a nice screen and starts being how the floor is run. Depth there is worth paying for, and it is the thing they are genuinely better at.
You need virtual numbers for one desk and SIM calling for the rest.
Runo. Two routes in one tool beats two tools, and Telodial does not offer the cloud side at all. This is a clean reason to pick them and we would rather say so here.
Three to eight callers, and the complaint is follow-ups going missing.
Telodial. A missed follow-up is not a reporting failure, it is a nothing-rang failure. Money spent on dashboard depth at that size buys a better view of a problem you could have removed instead.
What was checked, and when
- Runo pricing and the availability of cloud telephony alongside SIM calling were read from their own site on 4 September 2026.
- Both per-user figures compared here are the annual-commitment rates, because that is the tier both vendors put forward.
- Reporting depth is described in general terms on purpose. We can see what they publish; we cannot fairly rank a dashboard we have not run a floor on.
What this page does not claim
- We make Telodial. This page recommends Runo in two of the three situations above, which is what we actually believe, but read it knowing who wrote it.
- We have not operated Runo at fifteen or more seats, so the claim that its reporting suits that size comes from what they publish rather than from our own use.
- Confirm current prices on their site before deciding. Ours is on our pricing page and in this page structured data.
The short version
- Runo publishes 599 rupees per user per month billed annually; Telodial publishes 159 rupees per user per month on the yearly plan.
- Runo offers cloud telephony alongside SIM calling. Telodial is SIM only and does not sell virtual numbers.
- Runo manager reporting is deeper and is aimed at larger outbound floors.
- Telodial includes WhatsApp automation and campaigns in its entry plan rather than at a higher tier.
- Below roughly eight callers, reporting depth is rarely the constraint that is costing a team money.
