Paying more per caller than the calling itself costs?
A Calley alternative for teams that sell on their own SIM. Telodial, the telecalling CRM, is ₹159 per user with everything in one plan.
An auto dialer app with a free tier, aimed at individuals and small calling teams. Here is how the two compare on the things that decide it, including where Calley is the better buy.
Free for 3 days, every feature, no card needed.
Which Calley alternative works best in India?
Telodial is a Calley alternative built for Indian teams of roughly two to fifty callers. Calls go out through the SIM already in the caller phone rather than over VoIP, so the customer sees an ordinary mobile number and answers it, and a customer who calls back later reaches the same person. The lead record lives in the same app: the after-call sheet opens the moment a call ends and takes the status, a remark and the next follow-up in two taps, so nothing is written up afterwards from memory. WhatsApp is part of the product rather than a separate line on the invoice, covering automatic messages after calls, bulk campaigns and a shared reply inbox. The app itself runs in 40 languages, chosen per caller. Telodial costs ₹159 per user per month on the yearly plan with every feature included. Calley publishes A free tier plus paid plans; the published Indian pricing has shifted between tiers, so confirm the current figure on their site.
- Your own SIM and number, so calls get answered
- Two-tap after-call sheet, on the handset
- WhatsApp automation and campaigns in the base price
- ₹159 per user per month on the yearly plan

Where Calley wins
- A genuinely usable free tier, which is rare in this category and ideal for one person testing the idea.
- Simple to start: it does auto dialing well without asking you to adopt a whole CRM.
- Good fit for a solo agent or a two-person operation with a short list.

Where Telodial wins
- One price, everything in it. ₹159 per user per month on the yearly plan, with the auto dialer, lead CRM, reminders, WhatsApp and team reporting all included rather than split across tiers.
- Your own SIM and number. Calls go out through the phone own SIM, so customers see a normal mobile number and can call it back later and reach the same person.
- Built for the two seconds after a call. The after-call sheet opens by itself and takes status, remark and follow-up in two taps, which is the only moment a busy caller will reliably give you.
- The app in 40 languages. Chosen per caller rather than per company, in day-to-day words, so a new joiner reads their own screen from the first hour.

Worth asking before you commit
- Check what the free tier limits are before planning a team around it.
- Check how much lead management sits behind the dialer, and whether it matches how your pipeline works.
- Published pricing has moved between plans, so confirm the current price and what it includes.
Calley is a good dialer. Teams tend to move once two or three people are calling and the questions become who owns which lead, what was said last time and who followed up, which is CRM work rather than dialer work.
When Calley or something else is the better choice
- A contact centre running fifty or more seats on cold outbound lists, where predictive dialing over virtual numbers genuinely produces more conversations per hour than one SIM can.
- A business that needs call recording, which Android restricts for third-party apps and which Telodial therefore does not offer.
- A team whose selling happens mostly by email or in a field CRM rather than on the phone, where a general-purpose CRM will fit better.
From teams who moved
I had written off our old enquiry list as dead. Filtering it and calling it back over two weeks brought in more than that month of new leads did.
Two of my callers are seasonal. Adding them for three months and dropping them again was a two-minute conversation, not a contract change.
Six callers, one bill, no add-ons to argue about. I know exactly what next year costs, which I could not say about the last system.
Quotes come from customers who agreed to be named this way, shared on WhatsApp or on calls, and trimmed only for length. We publish no star rating or review count, because we will not show a number we cannot show you the source of. Last checked September 2026.
Calley alternative: common questions
Is Telodial cheaper than Calley?
Calley publishes A free tier plus paid plans; the published Indian pricing has shifted between tiers, so confirm the current figure on their site, so compare the total once every caller and any add-on is counted. Telodial is ₹159 per user per month on the yearly plan with the full feature set included. Checked 4 September 2026.
Can I move my data from Calley?
Yes. Export your leads to Excel or CSV, import them into Telodial and map your own columns once. Numbers that already exist are matched and merged rather than added twice, so a customer with history does not become two records.
Does Telodial use my own SIM or VoIP?
Your own SIM. The call goes out from the phone in the caller hand and shows your own number, which is why answer rates in India stay higher than on rented VoIP numbers. There is no per-minute telephony bill, because the calls run on the mobile plan you already pay for.
What does Calley do better?
A genuinely usable free tier, which is rare in this category and ideal for one person testing the idea. If that is the deciding factor for your team, they are a reasonable choice, and we would rather say so here than have you find out after paying.
Who should not switch to Telodial?
A contact centre running fifty or more seats on cold outbound lists, where predictive dialing over virtual numbers genuinely produces more conversations per hour than one SIM can. Also any team that needs call recording, which Android restricts for third-party apps and which we therefore do not offer.
When a free dialer is the right answer, and when it stops being one
Updated 15 July 2026
What people ask about moving on from a free tier
Is Calley free forever?
There is a genuinely usable free tier, which is rare in this category, and paid plans above it. Their published Indian pricing has moved between tiers, so read the current figure on their own site rather than any third-party page including this one. For one person with a short list, the free tier answers the question of whether auto dialing changes your afternoon, and it answers it for nothing.
When should I stop using a free auto dialer?
When a second caller joins. Everything a free dialer leaves out is coordination: splitting the list so two people do not ring the same customer, seeing who is on what, holding a pipeline everybody can read. With one caller none of that exists, so nothing is missing. With three, somebody spends an hour a day being the coordination layer by hand.
What is the difference between an auto dialer and a telecalling CRM?
A dialer removes the keypad work: it picks the next number and places the call so nobody types anything. A telecalling CRM does that and keeps the customer record, the stage, the remark and the next follow-up beside the call. If the pipeline genuinely lives in your head and the list is short, the second half is weight you do not need yet.
Can I move my list from Calley to Telodial?
Yes. Export to Excel or CSV and import here, mapping your own columns once. Numbers already present are matched and merged instead of duplicated. Most people making this move are bringing a list rather than years of history, so it is usually a ten-minute job.
Is Telodial free?
No. Three days free with every feature open and no card, then 159 rupees per user per month on the yearly plan. We do not run a free tier, and if free is the requirement rather than the starting point, Calley or GoDial answer that better than we do.
What each one is shaped for
Both dial from the handset SIM. What differs is how much sits behind the call, and what that is worth at your size.
| Telodial | Calley | |
|---|---|---|
| Free tier | No, three days free with every feature | Yes, and genuinely usable for one person |
| Listed price | 159 rupees per user per month, yearly plan | Free tier plus paid plans; confirm the current figure |
| Lead record beside the call | Yes, with your own stages and fields | Focused on the dialing itself |
| Assignment between callers | Yes | Check with vendor |
| Best at | A team of two to fifty working enquiries over weeks | One person working a list today |
Calley pricing has shifted between tiers, so the figure to trust is the one on their own site. Read on 4 September 2026.
Three honest answers
One person, a short list, no budget.
Calley, and do not overthink it. A free dialer removes the only friction that actually exists at that size, and there is no team to coordinate. Paying us instead would buy you screens you have no reason to open yet.
A second and third caller have joined.
Telodial. This is the point where the free tier starts costing money in a different currency. Somebody splits the list every morning and settles the argument when two callers reach the same customer, and that hour is worth more than the software.
You want dialing and nothing else, permanently.
Stay with a dedicated dialer. A CRM you never open is not free just because you already paid for it. If the pipeline genuinely lives in one head and always will, a dialer is the honest tool.
What was checked here
- Calley free tier and paid plans were read from their own published pages on 4 September 2026. Their Indian pricing has moved between tiers, which is why this page points at their site rather than quoting a figure with confidence.
- The claim that their free tier is usable is based on what they publish about its limits, not on a marketing line.
- Telodial pricing and trial terms are the ones on our pricing page and in this page structured data.
What this page does not claim
- We make Telodial and we do not offer a free tier, which is worth knowing while reading a page about when free tiers are the right choice.
- Free tier limits change more often than paid prices. Check the current caps on contacts and daily calls before relying on them.
- We have not measured Calley dialing performance against ours on the same list.
The short version
- Calley offers a genuinely usable free tier, which is unusual in this category, plus paid plans.
- Telodial has no free tier: three days free with every feature and no card, then 159 rupees per user per month on the yearly plan.
- A free dialer stops being the cheaper option at roughly the second or third caller, when coordination becomes somebody manual job.
- An auto dialer removes keypad work; a telecalling CRM also keeps the record, the stage and the next follow-up.
- For one person with a short list, a free dialer is the right answer and paying for a CRM is not.
