WhatsApp CRM with calling

The call happens on one phone and the WhatsApp conversation on another, so nobody has the whole story.

Half of every deal now happens on WhatsApp, and none of it reaches the CRM. With Telodial, the telecalling CRM, the chat sits beside the call history on the same record.

Send the message the call promised, automatically. Run a campaign to a filtered segment. Read the replies next to the lead status, so the next caller knows what was already said.

WhatsApp chat beside the lead record

What is a WhatsApp CRM for a calling team?

A WhatsApp CRM keeps the chat with a customer in the same record as the calls with that customer, so whoever picks up the relationship next can see all of it. Telodial does that alongside the dialer. A message can go out automatically when a call ends, when a call is missed, or when a lead status changes, using a template with the customer name filled in. Quiet hours and a per-contact cooldown stop the same person being messaged twice in an evening. Bulk campaigns go to a filtered segment in controlled batches with a delivery report per campaign. Incoming replies land in a shared inbox with unread and unreplied markers, sitting beside the lead status and the last remark, so nobody answers a question that was already answered this morning.

  • Automatic messages after a call, a missed call or a status change
  • Quiet hours and a per-contact cooldown, so nobody gets spammed
  • Bulk campaigns to a filtered segment, with a delivery report
  • Replies in a shared inbox, beside the call history and lead status
Why teams switch

What it fixes in the first week

Today

The message the caller promised never goes

Every caller ends a call saying they will send the details. Half of those messages are sent at midnight and a third are never sent at all.

With Telodial

The message goes out on its own when the call ends, with the right template for the outcome that was chosen.

Today

Chats live on personal phones

When the conversation is on a caller private WhatsApp, the business cannot see it, cannot continue it, and loses it when they leave.

With Telodial

Chats sit on the lead record, so any authorised colleague can pick up exactly where the last person stopped.

Today

Broadcasts get accounts blocked

A thousand identical messages fired at once from a personal number is the fastest route to a block, and it takes the number with it.

With Telodial

Campaigns run in controlled batches, respect quiet hours, and report what was delivered, read and replied to.

How it works

Three steps, and no training day

  1. 1

    Write the templates once

One for the brochure, one for the price list, one for the follow-up nudge, each with the customer name and any field you want filled in automatically. Save them and stop retyping.

    WhatsApp templates and triggers
  2. 2

Attach them to what happens on the phone

Choose which template goes out after a connected call, a missed call, or a move to a particular status. Set quiet hours and a cooldown so nobody is messaged twice in one evening.

Choosing which message fires on which outcome
  3. 3

Read replies where the lead lives

Answers land in a shared inbox with unread and unreplied markers, beside the same lead status, remark and call history the caller sees on the phone.

Shared WhatsApp inbox with unread markers

What callers and owners tell us

We built our own statuses in about ten minutes. Not somebody else’s pipeline forced onto our business.
Trupti S.Manager, recruitment firm, PuneJun 2026
What sold me was seeing yesterday numbers without asking anyone for them. I had been chasing a daily report by message for two years.
Girish M.Director, KolhapurAug 2026
We sent a campaign to eleven hundred old enquiries in one evening and got forty-three replies. Two of them booked.
Manisha V.Owner, coaching institute, NagpurJun 2026
Appointment reminders go out from the same place we call from, so the front desk is not juggling two systems on a busy morning.

Quotes come from customers who agreed to be named this way, shared on WhatsApp or on calls, and trimmed only for length. We publish no star rating or review count, because we will not show a number we cannot show you the source of. Last checked September 2026.

Questions

WhatsApp CRM: what people ask

Does it send WhatsApp messages automatically after a call?

Yes. Choose the template for each outcome and it goes out when the call ends, with the customer name filled in. Quiet hours and a per-contact cooldown mean nobody receives two messages in the same evening.

Do I need the WhatsApp Business API?

For automatic sending and the shared inbox, yes: you connect your own WhatsApp Business API provider and Telodial sends through it under your account. Message charges are billed by that provider at their rates.

Will bulk sending get my number blocked?

Blocking is driven by how people react to your messages, so the protections are behavioural. Campaigns go out in controlled batches rather than all at once, quiet hours are respected, and each human receives one message per campaign no matter how many of their numbers you hold.

Can two people answer the same chat?

They can see it, and the unreplied badge shows whether anyone has answered, so the usual failure of two colleagues sending two different answers is visible before it happens.

Can I message a filtered group of leads?

Yes. Filter by status, source, tag or a custom field, check the count, pick the template and send. The campaign report then shows what was delivered, read and replied to.

Does the customer see a strange business number?

They see the WhatsApp number you connected, which is your own. Calls still come from the SIM in the caller phone, so the calling number and the messaging number both belong to you.

Can I stop automatic messages for a particular lead?

Yes. Automatic messaging can be turned off per contact, and an ask-first mode shows the caller the message before it goes so it can be edited or skipped.

Whose WhatsApp number do the messages come from?

Your own. You connect your WhatsApp Business API provider and Telodial sends through your account, so the customer sees the number that belongs to your business, not a shared sender.

Are WhatsApp messages included in the price?

The feature is included in the ₹159 plan with no add-on tier. The messages themselves are billed by your WhatsApp API provider at their own rates, which Telodial does not mark up.

How many messages can a campaign send?

Campaigns run in controlled batches rather than all at once, so a large segment goes out over a period instead of in a single burst. Each human receives one message per campaign no matter how many of their numbers you hold.

The follow-up that decides the sale is usually a message, not a call

Updated 10 August 2026

Watch how a deal actually closes in an Indian small business and the pattern is consistent: a call to establish interest, a WhatsApp message with the details, two or three messages of back and forth, then a shorter call to finish. The call is where the relationship is made, but the message is where the specifics live, and a CRM that records only the calls therefore holds about half the story.

Keeping the two together matters most at handover. A customer who spoke to one caller in March and rings back in July does not want to explain themselves again. If the chat is on a personal phone that has since left the company, that history is simply gone. If it sits on the lead record next to the call log, the person who answers in July can read the March conversation in ten seconds and sound like the same business.

Automation earns its place here for one narrow reason: the message a caller promises during a call is the one most likely to be forgotten. Sending it automatically when the outcome is chosen closes that gap without asking anyone to remember. Everything else about the feature exists to keep that from becoming a nuisance: quiet hours, a cooldown per contact, one message per human per campaign, and an ask-first mode for callers who would rather see the message before it goes.
