Live Google Sheets and API lead import

Your ad platform fills a sheet all day and somebody opens it at four.

A lead that waits for a human to download a file has already been called by two competitors. With Telodial, the telecalling CRM, the sheet is a live source that pushes leads to a phone.

Connect a Google Sheet or an endpoint once. New rows import on a schedule, take a source tag, get dealt out round robin, and land as a notification on the caller who has to ring them.

Live Google Sheets and API lead import in the Telodial app

Can a telecalling CRM import leads from Google Sheets automatically?

Yes. In Telodial a Google Sheet is connected once as a live source, and from then on new rows are imported on a schedule rather than waiting for somebody to download a file. Each imported lead takes the source tag you gave that sheet, is dealt out round robin to the callers you chose for it, and arrives as a notification on that person phone with the record one tap away. The same mechanism works with any endpoint that can post a lead, which in practice covers every ad platform, website form, marketplace and agency system, because they can all write to a sheet even when they cannot integrate directly. Fresh leads surface at the top of the auto dialer queue, so the first calls of the morning go to the newest enquiries, and the dashboard records how many minutes passed between arrival and first call.

  • A Google Sheet or endpoint connected once, then imported on a schedule
  • Tagged with its origin, dealt to the next caller in turn, and announced on their phone
  • Fresh leads first in the dialer queue
  • Arrival time and first-call time recorded on every lead
How it works

Step by step

Connect the sheet or the endpoint

Point Telodial at the sheet your agency or ad platform already fills, and say which columns are which.

  3. 3

    The caller is told

A notification, one tap to the record, and the lead is already first in the dialer queue.

What you get

Live Google Sheets and API lead import, in detail

Works with everything

If a platform can fill a sheet or call a URL, it is a source. That covers ad platforms, website forms, marketplaces, portals and your agency spreadsheet.

No file to download

The handover that costs hours simply stops existing, which is where most speed-to-lead improvement actually comes from.

One owner per lead

Round robin assigns each arrival to exactly one caller, so nothing is called twice and nothing is nobody job.

Different rotations per source

The callers who handle one campaign need not be the ones who handle another, and rotations change without touching assigned leads.

Night leads wait at the front

Enquiries that arrive after hours are already at the top of the right queue at nine the next morning.

The delay is measured

Assigned time against first-call time, per source and per caller, so the improvement is visible rather than assumed.

What callers and owners tell us

Eleven thousand rows of old enquiries went in from an Excel file in one go, with the source column intact. I had been dreading that.
Ashwini B.Data manager, PuneAug 2026
I had written off our old enquiry list as dead. Filtering it and calling it back over two weeks brought in more than that month of new leads did.
Pramod S.Owner, flooring showroom, NashikAug 2026
Seeing the chat next to the call history is the part I use most. I stop guessing whether we already answered him.

Questions

Live Google Sheets and API lead import: what people ask

How quickly do new rows become leads?

Live sources are checked on a schedule measured in minutes, and assignment and the notification are immediate afterwards. In practice a form filled at nine is usually on a caller phone before ten past.

Which platforms does this cover?

Any that can write to a Google Sheet or call an endpoint, which is effectively all of them: lead ad platforms, website forms, marketplaces, property portals, agency sheets and your own systems.

Do I need a developer?

For a Google Sheet, no. For a direct endpoint, someone technical points the system at the URL once, and nothing further is needed.

What if the sheet has messy columns?

Map what you need and ignore the rest. Rows missing a phone number are skipped rather than imported as broken records.

Can I stop a source without deleting the leads?

Yes. Pause the source and everything already imported stays exactly as it is.

Closing the gap between a form being filled and a phone ringing

Where the delay actually lives

Leads arrive by email and somebody copies them across.

Connect the source instead. The copying interval is your speed to lead, whatever anybody intends. Removing the step removes the delay without asking anybody to try harder.

An agency sends a sheet each morning.

Connect the sheet, not the download. A file collected daily means every lead waits until the next collection. The same sheet read continuously turns a twenty-hour delay into a few minutes.

Leads arrive but nobody is told.

Notify the owner on arrival. A lead that lands silently in a list is only found when somebody scrolls to it. The notification is what makes automatic import worth having.

What people ask about automatic lead import

How often should a connected sheet be checked?

Often enough that the first call still feels immediate to the person who enquired. Minutes rather than hours is the useful standard, because the value being bought here is entirely about arriving before your competitors do.

What if the same lead comes from two sources?

It should be merged on the number rather than created twice, with the source recorded so you can still see which channel produced it. Two records for one person is how two callers end up ringing them.

Can I tell which source is worth the money?

Only if the source is stamped on every lead at the moment it arrives. Do that and the question of which channel pays becomes arithmetic instead of an argument. Add it afterwards by hand and it never gets done consistently enough to trust.

What happens if the sheet format changes?

Mapping should survive a reordered column and will not survive a renamed one, so agree with whoever maintains the sheet that headers stay fixed. This is the most common cause of an import quietly stopping.

What this rests on

  • The import behaviour and the arrival notification described here are how Telodial works with a connected sheet or endpoint.
  • The advice about fixing column headers comes from what actually breaks these connections in practice.

What this page does not claim

  • This is a page about our own feature, and connecting a source is the thing it sells. Measuring your current delay costs nothing and is worth doing first.

Worth quoting

  • The interval at which somebody checks an inbox or downloads a sheet is the real speed-to-lead figure.
  • Connecting a source directly turns a twenty-hour delay into minutes without changing anybody behaviour.
  • A lead that arrives silently is found only when somebody scrolls to it, so arrival should notify the owner.
  • Stamping the source at the moment of arrival is what turns channel spend into arithmetic.
  • A renamed column header is the most common reason an automatic import quietly stops working.
